SOS for ABDs: Complete Your Dissertation AND Keep Your Sanity A 6-week ABD
Group with Victoria Gottfried, Ph.D.
Are you at a stand still in your dissertation writing, or not progressing
as fast as you'd like? Do your feel discouraged and defeated? Help is available.
Join this 6-week workshop to learn tools to help you get moving toward completing
your dissertation and getting that diploma you have worked so hard for.
We'll tailor the group to participants' needs. Topics will likely include:
Dealing with avoidance and procrastination,
Changing self-defeating self-talk,
Dealing with paralyzing perfectionism,
Busting through writer's block, and more.
You will benefit from the expertise of a coach who faced the same struggles
you are facing in the completion of her dissertation.
You will enjoy learning, growing, and succeeding in the context of
a supportive group.

Tuition: There is no tuition for subscribers to the ABD Survival Guide
for the first six sessions. You may be charged for your long distance call
into our teleconference bridge. With a phone card, this fee should be nominal.
Who Should Attend? ABDs working on their dissertation. Graduate students
who have not yet reached ABD status.

holds a Ph.D. from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville.
She enjoys encouraging people toward achieving their goals, especially graduate

Tracy Steen, Ph.D. , is a clinical psychologist and dissertation
coach in Philadelphia, PA. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan
and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in positive psychology at the University
of Pennsylvania. Dr. Steen draws on her research background in positive psychology
in her coaching work with writers, helping them to remove internal obstacles
